Overview

Transitioning a personal brand from static graphic art to an expandable, high-contrast digital visual system built for scalable use across personal digital touchpoints: from browser favicons to portfolio and site headers.

Problem Statement

Traditional personal monograms struggle with sub-pixel blur at micro-scales (favicons, UI headers) and often lack accessible contrast ratios across dark/light mode surface tokens.

Scalable Vector Geometry

Aligned letterforms to a strict geometric grid, ensuring negative space remains clean and legible at any size, down to a 16×16px favicon in a dense browser tab, without needing a simplified secondary icon.

UI Token Architecture & Accessibility

Rather than choosing arbitrary brand colors, I established a two-tier design token system, then actually tested each pairing against WCAG instead of eyeballing it. Deep Indigo paired with white text measured 7.18:1, just barely clearing AAA. I darkened it further for a safer margin, now 13.43:1. Tested against Deep Indigo directly, Porcelain cleared AAA easily at 13.15:1 without needing any changes.
